Welcoming our new Rabbi

We are excited and proud to welcome Rabbi Ariel Yeshurun, and his family to our community to be the spiritual leader of Skylake Synagogue, beginning September 1, 2011. Rabbi Yeshurun is a graduate of the prestigious Chevron Yeshiva Rabbinical College in Givat Mordechai, Jerusalem and the Beit Amiel Institute for training rabbis for leadership in the Diaspora. He received his ordination in Jerusalem and holds a Rabbinical Advocate degree from the Israeli Ministry of Justice, specializing in marital law. For the past twelve years, he has served as Rabbi and heart-and-soul of Shaarei Tsedek synagogue in Curacao. According to his former members, his greatest achievement was his tireless efforts to build a beautiful new synagogue. Because of his clear vision and strong sense of purpose, as well as single-handedly raising the funds, Rabbi Yeshurun was able to accomplish this mammoth project in a short period of time. In addition to being a Rabbi, he has gone two years to medical school and gives outstanding lectures on medical ethics in relation to the Torah teachings. He has tremendous interest in our youth and has many varied programs planned for them. His preparation of our boys to become Bar Mitzvahs will make all the parents very proud
